A 27-year-old male has been charged after an incident at a Humpty Doo supermarket on Monday evening.
It is alleged that the male caused unlawful damage to property with a weapon before fleeing the area, Northern Territory Police say.
Police later located him in Moulden and arrested him. A police officer was allegedly assaulted during the apprehension, suffering a minor injury not requiring treatment.
The male has been charged with:
- Going armed in public
- Unlawful damage of property
- Resist police in execution of duty
- Assault a member of the police force
He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Darwin Local Court today.
