Multiple property offences, Robina

Police have charged a 21-year-old man with multiple property offences, including a enter dwelling and commit at Robina on Wednesday, December 13.

It will be alleged two men arrived in a stolen Volvo around 8.30am and stole items from an address, before leaving the scene.

Later that afternoon, the same car returned to the street, but when the occupants were confronted by members of the public, the car took off at speed.

Just before midnight, police located a 21-year-old man asleep in the Volvo at an address in Miami, where he was arrested and taken into custody.

The Volvo, which allegedly had stolen plates attached, was stolen from a Biggera Waters address on December 10.

The 21-year-old man was charged with multiple offences, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter dwelling and commit.

His case was heard before Southport Magistrates Court on December 14, and he was remanded in custody to rea-appear on January 22.

Investigations are ongoing.

The man is also facing separate property charges, which are also expected to be heard at Southport Magistrates Court today, December 15.
