On Wednesday 17 January, volunteers from community groups that run events and markets across Murrindindi Shire participated in traffic management training.

Delivered by accredited training providers Star Training and Assessing, the day was held at the Alexandra Shire Hall with representatives from Alexandra and District Traders and Tourism Association, Alexandra Events, Alexandra Rotary, Eildon Events, Eildon Lions, Eildon RSL, Marysville Lions, Yea Rotary and Yea Show Society.

The training, funded by Council with assistance from the Australian and Victorian Governments 2022 Flood Recovery Programs, was a great opportunity to upskill some of our wonderful volunteers and support event organisers to run safe and financially sustainable events.
