Music, Food And Fireworks At HOTA This Australia Day

Gold Coast residents are invited to Home of the Arts (HOTA) this Australia Day to reflect, respect and celebrate with family, friends and the community.

The City's free event on Monday, 26 January 2026 will feature live music, a variety of food trucks and a fireworks finale.

"The 2026 Gold Coast Australia Day Celebrations are an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate this national day," Mayor Tom Tate said.

"I invite everyone to join us at the HOTA Outdoor Stage for an unforgettable afternoon featuring local music by 42BAND, delicious food and community spirit.

"The day also marks a special occasion on the City's calendar, as we welcome 400 new citizens during the official Australia Day citizenship ceremony."

The Australia Day citizenship ceremony is invite-only.

Date: Monday, January 26

Time: 4pm – 7pm. Fireworks finale at approximately 7pm

Location: HOTA Outdoor Stage, 135 Bundall Road, Surfers Paradise, 4217. No tickets required.

Make your journey active and walk, ride, scoot or skate to the event. If driving your car is a must, please consider carpooling.

Gold Coast's 2026 Australia Day Celebrations are presented by City of Gold Coast and assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.
