MXGP Australia Roars Nationwide with Live TV Broadcast

In a significant win for Australian motorsport fans, the MXGP of Australia's final day of racing in Darwin will be broadcast live on both free-to-air and subscription television, delivering the thrill of world-class motocross straight into living rooms across the country.

On Sunday, 21 September, the final races of the MXGP Championships will air nationally on Channel 9's network. Viewers in Darwin, Sydney and Brisbane can tune into 9Gem, while audiences in Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth can catch the action on 9Rush.

Stan Sport will also provide four hours of dedicated live coverage of both MXGP and MX2 categories on the final day of championship racing. As the go-to destination for Australian motocross fans, Stan Sport has streamed every MXGP round in 2025, and a renewed partnership between Stan Sport and MXGP rights-holder Infront Moto Racing will ensure live national coverage of the MXGP of Australia for the next three years.

Live coverage of the MXGP of Australia will be delivered by broadcast and technology partner Gravity Media, a leading global provider of live production and media services. Gravity Media will broadcast the event to more than 100 countries via multiple broadcast platforms, reaching a potential audience of 700 million and placing Darwin firmly on the international motorsport map.

For the first time in 24 years, the FIM Motocross World Championship returns to Australia with Darwin hosting three action-packed days of world-class racing from 19-21 September on the purpose-built 1.6km circuit at Hidden Valley Raceway.

The State Challenge will kick off the action on Friday, 19 September, showcasing the nation's rising motocross stars in the MX3 and MX85 categories. Saturday and Sunday racing will feature the world's best MXGP and MX2 riders, including Romain Febvre, Jeffrey Herlings, Tim Gajser, and Kay de Wolf, before the weekend culminates in the season's unmissable finale on Sunday, where three 2025 World Champions will be crowned.

Additionally, in a historic first, the FIM Women's Motocross World Championship (WMX) will make its Australian debut, adding another milestone moment to the Darwin event.

Tickets are selling fast, starting from just $45 for single-day entry. Kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult, and 3-Day Hot Passes are available for $150. Limited premium experiences remain, including the iconic Skybox and one-day tickets for Friday and Saturday at the family-friendly Holeshot Hotel.
