NAIDOC week at museum with Alick Tipoti and Bangarra Dance Theatre

The Australian National Maritime Museum

The Australian National Maritime Museum celebrates NAIDOC week with an illustrious program of performance, music, storytelling and art from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations.

A free program of events is on at the museum, on July 8, 9 and 10, celebrating community and culture of Australia's Indigenous peoples. Workshops, film screenings and live performances are on every day, with a special day of celebration on Sunday, opening with Welcome to Country and a smoking ceremony.

Acclaimed artist Alick Tipoti is our special guest, sharing his extraordinary multi-disciplinary art, film and performance. Bangarra Dance Theatre educators present a special interactive performance workshop for kids, inspired by upcoming production, Waru: Journey of the small turtle.
