The National Automotive Leasing and Salary Packaging Association (NALSPA) has welcomed the appointment of Senator Larissa Waters as the new Leader of the Australian Greens, highlighting her longstanding commitment to environmental progress, women's health, and workplace rights, and tackling the rising cost-of-living for Australian families. NALSPA CEO Rohan Martin congratulated Senator Waters on her appointment, noting her decades-long advocacy for climate action and the environment. "Senator Waters's leadership comes at an important time for the Australian population and the Australian Parliament. Climate and our pathway to net zero, affordable healthcare and housing, the economy, and the rising cost-of-living are all pivotal matters," Mr Martin said. "NALSPA welcomes the opportunity to work in collaboration with the Australian Greens to ensure the taxation and transfer system – together with the services our members provide – continue to facilitate targeted, effective cost-of-living relief for Australian workers and their families. "We also look forward to working with Senator Waters in relation to policies which support the orderly and continued electrification of Australia's transport fleet. Our members currently play a significant role in helping working families, particularly those in the outer suburbs and regional areas, adopt zero emission vehicles with the support of the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) exemption on EVs. "We wish Senator Waters and her new leadership team all the very best. "Importantly we also thank and congratulate outgoing leader Adam Bandt for his 15 years of service to public life and his pursuit of the values of the Australian Greens."
