There are approximately 285 streets within the Port Adelaide Enfield Council area that meet the 'Narrow Street' definition.
At its meeting of April 2020, Council supported consultation to occur on a Draft 'Narrow Streets and Access' Policy to enable better access.
The recommendations contained within the policy will be rolled out over a number of years and will be used to inform future decisions for the treatment of narrow streets when road and footpath infrastructure is renewed.
Budget consideration for the 'rollout' and how to prioritise which streets are treated first, will be considered following community feedback.
Feedback on the draft policy will be accepted till 5pm Friday 7 May 2021.
