Forget a trip to the UK, you can experience London's National Theatre right here in Taree.
MidCoast Council brings a regular schedule of theatre screenings to the Beryl Jane Flett Studio at the Manning Entertainment Centre. Starring Oscar-nominated Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl, Saltburn), Inter Alia finishes its run on the stage at London's Lyttleton Theatre in September. MidCoast residents and visitors can see the show hot off the stage and onscreen at the Beryl Jane Flett Studio just a few weeks later.

Alex Mills, MidCoast Council's Manager Libraries, Community and Cultural Services said that the National Theatre Live screenings are unmissable theatre from Britain's most exciting theatre stages, filmed in front of live theatre audiences.
"Film productions are optimised for the big screen so it's the next best thing to being there," explained Mr Mills.
"The actors on stage deliver their performances as they normally would any other night. But National Theatre Live tailors the position of the cameras to capture each production and works closely with technical teams to make sure every element on stage including lighting, hair and make-up all look fantastic on the big screen.
"National Theatre Live captures the magic of every moment on stage. It lets you get up close, delve deeper and take in the spectacle. It's even better than 'best seats in the house'… it's like being on the stage with the actors as they perform. No wonder is left unseen."
