Did you know 238 animal and plant species in the Macleay are threatened with extinction?

Every year on the 7 September is National Threatened Species Day where we turn the spotlight on these threatened species and think about how we can protect them.

Throughout September is National Biodiversity Month, the Saving our Species program has developed this webinar series to showcase the incredible biodiversity of South East NSW including ways to conserve our native animals, plants and ecosystems. To view the event catalogue, head to NSW Department of Planning Industry and Environment

What else is happening this National Biodiversity Month?

Council is seeking feedback on our draft Biodiversity Strategy for the shire, which is on public exhibition until Monday 13th September. Have your say by visiting Kempsey Shire Biodiversity Strategy
