New Berowra Ambulance Station Design Unveiled

The Berowra community is being given a first look at its new ambulance station that will soon bolster emergency and mobile medical care for northern Sydney and the Central Coast.
The new Berowra Ambulance Station will be located on the Pacific Highway and is being delivered as part of the NSW Government's $615.5 million NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program, which will deliver 30 additional ambulance stations and supporting infrastructure over the coming years.
The modern, purpose-built ambulance station will include internal parking for up to eight emergency ambulance vehicles, a dedicated vehicle wash bay, a multipurpose area for paramedics, a gym, meeting and training rooms, administration areas, logistics and storage facilities, and on-site parking.
The new ambulance station will improve network coverage particularly for M1 Pacific Motorway commuters in northern Sydney and support existing ambulance stations including at Wahroonga and the Hawkesbury River region at Mooney Mooney.
The planning and design of the new Berowra Ambulance Station is nearing completion. Construction is expected to begin this year, following planning approval and the appointment of a builder.
New ambulance stations are also planned for the Central Coast and Northern Sydney at Cherrybrook, North Sydney, Macquarie Park, Narrabeen and Kincumber, Berkeley Vale and Lisarow under the NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program.
The Minns Government is recruiting 2,500 additional NSW Ambulance staff including 500 paramedics to rural and regional areas, to boost emergency and mobile healthcare for our metropolitan and regional communities.
