Beveridge's new modular kindergarten is taking shape, with building modules delivered and installed recently. The project remains on track to welcome children in January 2027.
Located on Fethard Road, Beveridge Kindergarten (interim name) will give local families access to more kindergarten places and maternal and child health services close to home.
The Victorian Government is delivering the facility. Mitchell Shire Council will appoint an external kindergarten provider to operate the kindergarten.
What will the new kindergarten include?
The new facility will include:
- Three kindergarten rooms for up to 99 children at a time
- Two maternal and child health rooms supporting families with children from birth to school age
- Outdoor play areas
The building's modular sections were constructed off site before being transported to Beveridge and installed, marking a key milestone for the project.
What's happening now?
Works are now focused on completing the internal fit-out, connecting services and developing the outdoor play areas.
These works will prepare the facility for its planned opening in January 2027, helping meet growing demand for early years services in Beveridge.
