New Brimbank Council sworn-in

The newly elected Brimbank Council has been sworn in for a four-year term, in an official ceremony on Tuesday 10 November 2020 that was live streamed to the public.

The 11-member Council took their oaths/affirmations from Council's Chief Executive Officer Helen Morrissey, and signed a declaration to abide by the Councillor Code of Conduct 2020.

The Council includes four returned councillors, Cr Victoria Borg, Cr Sam David, Cr Bruce Lancashire and Cr Virginia Tachos.

Elected for the first time to Brimbank Council are Cr Sarah Branton, Cr Thuy Dang, Cr Maria Kerr, Cr Trung Luu, Cr Jasmine Nguyen, Cr Jae Papalia and Cr Ranka Rasic.

Chief Executive Officer Helen Morrissey welcomed the new Council and said the organisation looked forward to supporting and working closely with the new Council.

The Mayoral election will be held on Tuesday 17 November at 7pm, the meeting will be live streamed.
