New Constables to serve and protect Launceston community from today

Thirteen newly graduated Constables commence duty with Launceston Police today.

"Following graduation at the Police Academy last Friday, thirteen new Constables are ready to put their training into action, serving and protecting the Launceston community from today," said Inspector Nathan Johnston.

"The six women and seven men, join the ranks within Launceston Police Station today, commencing on 24-hour operational shift-work, guided and mentored by experienced officers.

"On behalf of Launceston Police, I welcome our newest police members today and wish them well as they start what I hope will be an enjoyable and rewarding career for each of them," said Inspector Johnston.
