New COVID-19 compliance measures and grants for business

New COVID-19 compliance measures are to come into effect from Monday 12 July and Hilltops businesses are advised that the use of the Service NSW QR code will be mandatory at all workplaces and retail businesses.

Businesses will need to display the Service NSW QR code and take reasonable steps to ensure people entering their premises check-in using the Service NSW QR codes or digital sign-in sheet.

As part of ongoing measures to support business that have been impacted by the COVID-19 restrictions which commenced on 26 June the NSW Government has announced a new grant program for small businesses across NSW.

Three different grant amounts will be available for small businesses depending on the decline in turnover experienced during the restrictions - $10,000 for a 70 per cent decline, $7000 for a 50 per cent decline and $5000 for a 30 per cent decline.

The Hospitality and Tourism COVID-19 Support Grant is a new grant program for tourism or hospitality businesses across NSW that have been impacted by the COVID-19 restrictions that commenced on 26 June 2021.

Grants between $5,000 and $10,000 will be available depending on the decline in turnover experienced during the restrictions.
