Long-term Deniliquin and Edward River Council employee Mark Dalzell has been appointed the Director of Infrastructure, ERC general manager Phil Stone has announced.
"After a competitive recruitment process which saw a high calibre of local, regional and interstate candidates apply for the role, the recruitment panel selected Mark for his extensive experience, knowledge of local issues and expertise."
Mr. Dalzell is a qualified civil engineer with a Master of Business Administration and a Graduate Diploma in Local Government Engineering and Management.
He replaces Oliver McNulty who left Edward River Council to take up the general manager's role at Balranald Shire Council last year.
"Mark has been an excellent acting director of infrastructure since Ollie's departure and brings with him 14 years' experience in similar roles. His appointment has been well received by Councillors and Council staff and I look forward to his leadership and support in this very senior role," Mr. Stone said
