New Exhibit Highlights Daily Life at Manningham Gallery

A powerful new exhibition by artist Katrin Koenning is now on show at the Manningham Art Gallery.

Mirrors brings everyday moments into focus, exploring themes of connection and belonging through a deeply personal collection of photographs.

Drawn from Koenning's archive spanning the past two decades, the exhibition offers intimate glimpses into people, places and the natural world. Through these images, stories of love, loss and life are told.

"The picture is such a tiny part - the value lies in the act of relating and how these relations live in the world," says Koenning.

Born in Dortmund, Germany, and now based in Melbourne, Koenning's work focuses on relationships between people, communities and the environment.

Her photographs have been exhibited widely, including at the National Gallery of Victoria and the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra, as well as internationally in Dubai, Bangladesh, and Paris.

Her work has also appeared in major publications such as The New Yorker, The Guardian, Zeit Magazine, and Vogue.com.

Mirrors invites visitors to pause, reflect, and connect with the beauty of everyday life.

The exhibition is on show until Saturday 18 October at the Manningham Art Gallery, MC Square, 687 Doncaster Road, Doncaster. The gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday, 11:00am to 4:00pm. Entry is free.
