- The Crisafulli Government is ensuring Queensland is open for business with more global offices opening to strengthen international trade relationships.
The Crisafulli Government is delivering Queensland businesses the help they need with a new initiative assisting them to break into international markets.
Labor's decade of decline left Queensland's global trade relationships in tatters, with businesses forced to abandon their ambitions of exporting to the world.
The new Exporter Academy aims to undo Labor's damage and provide real support to help Queenslanders take their businesses to the next level by delivering expert advice and guidance on how to trade on the world stage in a number of key international markets.
The Exporter Academy focusses on hands-on market entry training, digital and e-commerce capability development, investment readiness mentoring for scaling businesses, and tailored preparation for companies participating in international events.
Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates announced the Exporter Academy at the first Queensland Exporter Conference and said the program will focus on getting businesses export ready.
"The Crisafulli Government is delivering the leg up Queensland businesses have been crying out for after they were ignored by Labor for far too long," Minister Bates said.
"This program will connect business owners with experts who will give them specific advice on what they need to do to get onto the world stage.
"Queensland is open for business and I want everybody dreaming of expanding overseas to know the Crisafulli Government backs you and will help you every step of the way.
"We are also expanding Trade and Investment Queensland's international presence by putting people on the ground in new markets, which will give us a footprint in 30 locations across 21 key international regions."
Businesses across Queensland are invited to register for the Exporter Academy at https://www.tiq.qld.gov.au/exporter-academy or by contacting their local Trade and Investment Queensland representative.
