New Fitzy Bowl

The beloved Fitzy Bowl is back and is nearly twice the size!

Yarra City Council Mayor Cr. Sophie Wade dropped in for visit to the skatepark.

"This was such an exciting project to deliver. We had a wonderful local community working group, who provided great feedback, which really helped to shape the design."

"Spaces like these are important, now more than ever, for people of all ages to connect, to exercise and to have fun."

"Council is committed to delivering projects which benefit the health and wellbeing of our community, especially when they improve the accessibility to exercise to a broader, more diverse range of people."

The new Fitzy Bowl has expanded and includes a design which is more suitable for younger children and beginner skaters.

Parts of the new design will be accessible to some wheelchair users, enabling people with a disability to participate.

Yarra City Council invested $395,000 in the upgrades with an additional $140,000 provided by the Victorian Government through the Suburban Parks Program.
