A Darwin woman has kick-started 2024 on an extraordinary note, having won a whopping $2.3 million in the TattsLotto draw on the 30th of December, 2023.
As one of the 13 jackpot winners in draw 4429, she's looking forward to a year of transformative changes, with plans to purchase a new house and car.
The woman, who has preferred to remain anonymous, recounted her disbelief upon discovering her win.
“I thought I was dreaming,” the woman told an official from The Lott when they called to confirm her prize.
“I discovered it last night. I haven’t slept since.
“I usually just buy a ticket into Lotto when there’s a big draw. I was out shopping with my family yesterday, so decided to grab a ticket.
“It’s a good way to end the year!
“It’s incredible.
“I’ll definitely be getting a new house and a new car in the new year! It’s going to be a great year!”
Her winning 18-game QuickPick was purchased at Nextra Casuarina, Shop Gd19, Casuarina Shopping Centre, 247 Tower Road, Casuarina.
Nextra Casuarina manager Jenna Moseley said she hoped the win was the start of a winning streak for her customers.
“We are always hoping for a big win from our store and to finish the year off with a division one winning ticket sold, you can't beat that!” she said.
“Hopefully, everyone is going to be as excited as we are! I think they will be happy to see another big win here in the NT.
“We last sold a division one winning entry for TattsLotto back in 2020, so we are over the moon to have sold another one!

The winning numbers for the draw were 39, 38, 3, 2, 11, and 23, with 22 and 35 as the supplementary numbers. The draw saw winners across Australia, with four each in New South Wales and Victoria, two in Western Australia, and one each in Queensland, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.
