Southport CBD Comes Alive With Free Twilight Markets

Mayor Tate and local musician

The City's free CBD Twilight Markets return this Friday, bringing great tunes, live art, unforgettable food and unique market stalls to the heart of Southport.

Mayor Tom Tate said the markets were one of many events the City organises in the Southport CBD to attract visitors to Nerang Street and support local businesses.

"From Sundown Music Festival to Lunar New Year celebrations, there's always something happening in Southport," Mayor Tate said.

"The CBD Twilight Markets are a fantastic way to kick-start the weekend, with more than 30 stalls offering delicious food, vintage treasures and unique local products."

Visitors can enjoy a range of food options from QLD Vegan Markets, alongside non-vegan street food, a pop-up bar and live performances from local musicians Matt Hansford and DVNA.

There will also be live art by Souls On Fire, while Southport's restaurants and bars offer even more options for a fun night out.

"For the first time, marketgoers can enjoy a vinyl DJ set from duo Transit Venues ahead of the release of their debut album next month," Mayor Tate added.

"As the weather warms up, it's the perfect opportunity to get outdoors, support local businesses and enjoy a free night out with family, friends and even your four-legged companions."
