WorkCover Queensland has now completed the open tender process to appoint a new independent medical examinations (IME) panel, effective from 1 July 2021.
The IME panel is a team of medical professionals who provide WorkCover with additional information or clarification on specific medical aspects of a worker's injury, and/or to provide workers with a permanent impairment assessment.
We have expanded our panel from 131 to 165 providers, with a broader regional presence across the state and increased representation of the following specialisations:
- ear, nose and throat
- occupational physicians
- orthopaedics
- psychiatry
- urology.
