New Lots Available in Berrimah and upgrades to Boulter Road

NT Government

A new 58 residential lot development in Berrimah will get their land title in the coming weeks, with the majority of lots sold to date.

Running off Boulter Road in Berrimah, development of Parkside Berrimah got underway in 2021, with site investigation and land development works supporting 100 local jobs, and contributing $8.5 million to the NT economy.

Government and the private sector are working together to bring new developments to life. The Territory Government worked with the developers to bring titles to market sooner by bringing forward drainage works, with developers and local government contributing towards this infrastructure.

The estate masterplan is designed to create an exclusive 'enclave' neighbourhood with only one way in and out. Parkside Berrimah features a pocket park within 400 metres from all homes, and maintains greenery throughout the development.

The 58-lot residential estate is a realisation of the Territory Government's Berrimah North Area Plan - with the future upgrade of Boulter Road as part of the plan.

The future upgrades to Boulter Road will unlock further development potential in the area. The first stage of upgrades will involve the construction of an underground stormwater pipe to divert water and reduce the risk of flooding, which has been a longstanding issue on Boulter Road.

Planning is underway for the second stage of works which will see Boulter Road upgraded from a rural profile road to an urban profile road to provide better access and amenity for residential and commercial properties along the road.

To make sure we have positive growth which keeps up with demand, the Territory Labor Government is investing in new land parcels right across the Territory, including Holtze, Kowandi, Katherine East, Kilgariff in Alice Springs and Peko Road in Tennant Creek.

Quotes attributed to the Minister for Territory Development, Eva Lawler:

"The Territory Labor Government is making sure we have the right infrastructure in the right place, at the right time to allow more private investment, development, jobs and growth.

"We are investing $15 million over five years to bring more land to market across the Territory. Parkside Berrimah is an example of private developers and Government working together.

"The Territory Government will upgrade Boulter road, which will allow for more development in the area, along with the smoother access into Parkside Berrimah for future residents to enjoy."
