The ACT Government has appointed a new Chair and three new members to the ACT Mental Health Advisory Council, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive, community-informed mental health policy.
The Mental Health Advisory Council plays a vital role in improving mental health outcomes for the ACT community by providing independent, expert advice to the Minister for Mental Health.
The ACT Government has appointed existing Council member Ellen Somerville as Chair, and new members Dr Andrew Black, Kristen Franks and Beth Garwood.
Minister for Mental Health Rachel Stephen-Smith said the new members bring a diverse range of expertise and lived experience to the Council.
