New Nagambie Lake Ward Councillor sworn in

Cr Andrews joins Council after the recent resignation of Melanie Likos.

The Victorian Electoral Commission conducted a countback which resulted in Cr Andrews being the eligible candidate and he took the Oath of Office to represent the Lake Nagambie Ward at the meeting.

He was welcomed by Mayor Cr Chris Raeburn at the meeting.

“We would like to welcome Cr David Andrews to Strathbogie Shire Council and we look forward to his representation of the Lake Nagambie Ward,” Cr Raeburn said.

Cr Andrews said he was pleased to accept the vacancy and wished Melanie Likos all the best.

Having enjoyed meeting many community members when campaigning to join Council last year, Cr Andrews said he looked forward to representing them.

He joins Cr Reg Dickinson as the two representatives for the Lake Nagambie Ward.
