New Nighttime Exhibit at Hurstville Museum & Gallery

Georges River Council

Georges River Council is excited to present While everyone sleeps, an inspiring exhibition by artist Tamara Pottier, on display in the Dragon's Lair Gallery at Hurstville Museum & Gallery from Saturday 12 July to Sunday 17 August 2025.

This collection of ceramics and oil paintings was created in quiet, reflective moments – after bedtime, between lessons, and across years.

Pottier's work explores the female form, nature, and the evolving experience of motherhood and identity. Though made at different times, the pieces come together in a shared expression of creativity found in everyday life.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "While everyone sleeps offers a special chance for the community to connect with the quiet moments that shape creativity and identity.

"This exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the evolving experience of motherhood and self, and the resilience found in everyday life.

"Tamara Pottier's work is a beautiful tribute to those personal stories that often go unseen, and I encourage everyone to visit Hurstville Museum & Gallery to experience it."

Join us at Hurstville Museum & Gallery to celebrate the official opening of While everyone sleeps on Saturday 12 July from 2.00pm – 3.30pm. The opening will be attended by guest speaker, President of St George Potter's Group Joe Simone along with a performance by guitarist Victor Martinez Parada.
