The exercise equipment at Castlewood Community Reserve has received a significant upgrade.

The new fitness area now includes a stretch station, a variety of high and low bars, body dip station, roman rings, leg press, push up/sit down station and jump boxes on a combination of wetpour rubber and synthetic turf surfacing.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi, said Council is proud to provide enhanced outdoor fitness opportunities for residents.

"Having access to well-planned, permanent outdoor fitness equipment is important to ensure our residents can live active healthy lifestyles," Mayor Gangemi said.

"This upgrade responds to our community's growing participation in outdoor fitness and to evolving equipment capabilities.

"We've created a functional, comprehensive fitness space that encourages residents to enjoy exercise while they make the most of their local outdoor spaces," he added.

The new outdoor fitness station can be found at Castlewood Community Reserve, 29 Castlewood Drive, Castle Hill.
