The Kangaroo Valley community can now enjoy upgraded tennis courts and three new pickleball courts at Riverside Park.
As part of the upgrade, two hard surface tennis courts have been resurfaced to improve longevity, while a third court has been converted into three dedicated pickleball courts thanks to new line-marking.
Mayor Patricia White said the makeover would ensure the facility continues to meet community needs by supporting both established sports and the growing trend of pickleball.
"Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports worldwide and we've certainly seen an increase in interest across the Shoalhaven," Cr White said.
"The sport is known for being accessible to players of all ages and skill levels which makes it the ideal sport for local families and visitors to the area," she said.
"I'd like to thank the Kangaroo Valley Tennis Club and local users for their patience during construction, and I know they'll be thrilled to get back on the court."
Works included two newly resurfaced tennis courts, refreshed two-tone acrylic court finish and three new pickleball courts.
The upgrade was funded through Council's assets fund which is supported by lease fees reinvested into maintenance and improvements for community facilities. The courts can be hired through the Kangaroo Valley Tenis Club.
