Support for Seymour and Mitchell Shire residents continues with the opening of a new Recovery Hub aimed at providing ongoing recovery services following last year's flood event.
The Recovery Hub has now moved from the Seymour Customer and Library Service Centre to a new, larger facility on Guild Street, opening its doors to public on Monday 29 May.
The new location is equipped with fully accessible meeting rooms and facilities to ensure all residents, landowners, and business owners can comfortably access the services available. This space has been designed for one-on-one discussions, group meetings, and workshops.
Among the support services offered, residents will be able to access information and assistance from a wide variety of agencies including:
- Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV)
- Goulburn Flood Recovery Service (GFRS)
- St Vincent de Paul
- Small Business Mentoring Service (SBMS)
- Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL)
- Disaster Legal Help Victoria
- Johns Lyng Group
- Lions Club
- Nexus Primary Care
- AgBiz Assist
- Each Mental Health Service (Each).
These agencies will provide a broad spectrum of services, tailored to the diverse needs of the community. From legal advice to mental health support, small business mentoring to primary care services, the Recovery Hub operates as a centralised space to assist residents through the recovery.
The new Hub is located in the Presbyterian Hall at 4 Guild Street, Seymour. Operating hours are 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
All flood-impacted residents, landowners, and business owners are encouraged to make use of these services to aid in their recovery process.
