Dept of Education, Skills and Employment

Funded under the Australian Government's Suburban University Study Hubs (SUSH) program, four additional Hubs have opened in permanent locations at Liverpool in New South Wales, Playford in South Australia, Inala in Queensland and Armadale in Western Australia.

The hubs provide high-speed internet, computers, study spaces and trained staff to assist with academic skills, administration and wellbeing support.

Liverpool Study Hub, located on the TAFE NSW campus, is expected to support up to 350 students each week and its facilities include 60 study spaces that cater to both individuals and groups. The hub is staffed to provide support to students from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, with extended access for students until 9pm on weekdays and from 8am to 9pm on weekends.

Uni Hub Playford, now located in its permanent site on the TAFE SA Elizabeth campus is expected to support over 200 students. Staff are available to support students from 9am-7pm Monday to Wednesday and 9am to 5pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The hub also provides 24-hour access to students, 7 days a week.

Inala University Study Hub can accommodate 44 students at a time and offers a mix of individual, collaborative and support spaces to provide flexibility. Staff are available between 9am to 5pm on weekdays, with extended access to 9pm and reduced access on weekends.

Armadale University Study Hub, located in Perth's south-eastern suburbs, has capacity for 56 students at once and offers 24/7 access. The Hub will be staffed on weekdays to support students and will introduce a free creche from April 2026 to help those balancing study with caring commitments.

Bachelor of Biomedical Science student Rayan is studying through Inala University Study Hub and loves the opportunities and benefits offered through the hub.

"This Study Hub gives students like us a place to focus, feel encouraged, and take our goals seriously," Rayan said.

"To me, this hub represents opportunity and hope. It's helping me work towards my future, and I truly believe it will do the same for many other students in this community.

"Having somewhere quiet and dedicated has helped me focus better, stay organised, and feel more confident about what I'm working towards. There really isn't another place like this in the area, and for me, it's made a big difference."
