Bland Shire Council has officially launched a new tourism promotional video designed to inspire visitors to discover more of the region and experience everything the Shire's towns and villages have to offer.
Created as part of Council's ongoing tourism promotion, the video provides an engaging introduction to Bland Shire and will be used across a range of platforms to
encourage visitors to extend their stay and explore more of the region.
The video will be played in accommodation providers' guest rooms throughout the Shire, giving visitors ideas for places to visit during their stay. It is also being screened at the Bland Shire Visitor Information Centre and will feature before selected movie screenings at the Tivoli Theatre, community events, local shows and other locations as opportunities arise.
Mayor Brian Monaghan said the video was about showcasing the unique experiences that make Bland Shire such a welcoming destination.
"Our towns and villages each have their own story to tell, and this video brings those stories together in a way that is genuine, inviting and distinctly Bland Shire," Mayor Monaghan said.
"We wanted to create something that encourages visitors to slow down, explore a little further and experience the people, places and character that make our communities so special."
The video was developed through a collaborative process between Council and the production company, drawing on the experiences of those who regularly engage with visitors and understand the attractions, experiences and information people are seeking when they visit Bland Shire.
The content was shaped by visitor enquiries, popular local experiences, established tourism attractions and emerging opportunities across the region. Input from residents, village accommodation providers and the production team helped ensure the video reflects the character of the entire Shire.
Featuring local residents rather than actors, the video captures the people, places and experiences that make Bland Shire unique. From heritage sites and local businesses to natural landscapes, accommodation and everyday country moments, it showcases the diversity of experiences available across the Shire.
The video embraces the relaxed pace of country life, inviting visitors to slow down, explore more of Bland Shire and discover the warmth, character and hidden gems that make the region a place worth staying a little longer.
The tourism video is now available to view on Bland Shire Council's website, Visit West Wyalong facebook page, social media channels and at a range of visitor locations throughout the Shire.
