New Triple Zero Victoria CEO Appointed

Mr David Clayton APM has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Triple Zero Victoria for a five-year term following a competitive recruitment process.

Mr Clayton has been acting as Triple Zero Victoria Chief Executive Officer since 6 October 2025.

As Assistant Commissioner - State Emergencies & Support Command at Victoria Police, Mr Clayton oversaw state emergency response coordination, operational communications, regional emergency management, and state event planning and custody management.

Throughout this time, he has led complex operational, intelligence and emergency management functions at both metropolitan and statewide levels.

During his career, he has held a number of senior leadership positions, including Commander - Intelligence & Covert Support and Divisional Superintendent for Melbourne, as well as senior roles supporting state emergency response coordination and large-scale incident management.

Mr Clayton's appointment comes at a critical time as Triple Zero Victoria continues its transformation to strengthen emergency call-taking and dispatch services for the community. His proven ability to lead through complex challenges will ensure Triple Zero Victoria remains resilient and responsive into the future.
