Ms Scodellaro will start in the role on July 1, for a four-year term leading management of the precinct, which welcomes more than 14 million visitors each year with a balance of public, commercial, residential, cultural, tourist and recreational uses.

She has previously played a key role in the development of the $600 million Southpoint development.

"With a strong sense of purpose and an intense desire to get it right – I am committed to working with our team and stakeholders on South Bank's planning and precinct curation and capital project delivery."

South Bank Corporation Chair Susan Forrester AM said Ms Scodellaro was an advocate for world-class integrated precinct management who was passionate about South Bank's tremendous past and its future potential.

Ms Forrester also thanked outgoing CEO Bill Delves, who is stepping down after almost eight years in the role.

"Through everything he has done for the precinct, Bill has crafted a remarkable legacy for himself, for South Bank, and for Brisbane and we say thank you," Ms Forrester said.
