On August 8, filmmakers Alex Dorval and Renaud De Repentigny from Trois-Rivières will begin shooting their feature documentary The Time-Frying Machine. They'll roam the rural byways of Centre-du-Québec, the region that gave the world poutine, exploring Quebec's identities through the history of its iconic comfort food.
The film is due for release in 2027. The producer is Mélanie Brière of the NFB's French Documentary Unit.
