Between January and March 2020, Claude Joli-Coeur, the Government Film Commissioner and Chairperson of the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), will be undertaking a series of cross-country consultations with creators and professional associations in the Canadian audiovisual sector, to discuss the issues and priorities that will inform the NFB's 2020-2023 Strategic Plan.
These consultations will take place in partnership with the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), the Documentary Organization of Canada (DOC), the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC), the Association des réalisateurs et réalisatrices du Québec (ARRQ) and ONF/NFB Creation.
In the coming days, each organization will be sending a survey to all of its members to determine the key issues and priorities to be discussed during these meetings. The survey, compilation of responses, and analysis of results will be managed by the participating associations.
Creators do not need to belong to one of the organizations above to attend the consultation sessions or participate in the survey.
