NIH Disclosure Training On MyUK

University of Kentucky

As we have previously shared, the National Institute of Health (NIH) requires Disclosure Training for all senior/key personnel involved in NIH-funded research. This training supports accurate and complete disclosure of Other Support, foreign relationships and conflicts of commitment - critical elements of research transparency and compliance.

The required training is now available through the MyUK Learning Management System (LMS). Navigate to MyUK Learning, select "View my learning," search for "Other Support in SciENcv Training for Investigators," and select "Assign to me" or "Start Training." (It is not automatically assigned.)

Previously, this training was conducted via Zoom. Anyone who has already completed the Zoom training has fulfilled the requirement. Individuals listed as key personnel on NIH grants who have not attended the Zoom trainings will be required to complete it through MyUK Learning.

Completion of this training is required before proposal submission and will be verified as part of the institutional review process.Faculty planning NIH submissions are encouraged to complete the training early and ensure their disclosures are current and accurate.

The deadline to complete the training is May 25, 2026, which matches with the end of the temporary leniency period and the transition to mandatory use of NIH Common Forms.

The training is open to anyone who wants to learn more about preparing the Current Pending Other Support (CPOS) document in SciENcv, using Tableau reports to gather data, and understanding the UK review process.
