Seniors and Ageing Minister Mick Murray has led the call for nominations ahead of the 2019 WA Seniors Awards.
The annual awards recognise and celebrate the State's most remarkable seniors, while acknowledging organisations working to improve the lives of older Western Australians.
The awards will recognise both the metropolitan and regional WA Senior of the Year, as well as the WA Age Friendly Local Government of the Year and the WA Age Friendly Business of the Year.
Entries can be lodged by members of the general public or by organisations, with nominations closing at 5pm on October 4, 2019.
The 2019 WA Seniors Awards are presented by the Council on the Ageing (WA) in partnership with the McGowan Government and are promoted as part of WA Seniors Week celebrations, which run from November 10-17.

"The WA Seniors Awards shine a light on so many wonderful contributions made by older Western Australians and play an important role in breaking down negative stereotypes about older people.
"Whether they contribute their time through volunteering, charity work, long-running service to an organisation, or another avenue, there are so many seniors doing great things around the State.
"Importantly, the awards recognise the local governments and businesses that are setting a positive example to others by having a dedicated approach to welcoming and engaging older Western Australians.
"The WA Seniors Awards provide the community with the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate older Western Australians doing remarkable work in their communities.
"I encourage all Western Australians to take a moment to consider nominating an older Western Australian in their lives who is making an important contribution to the community."
