Nominations are now open for the 2026 CBR Sport Awards, recognising outstanding achievements and contributions across the ACT sport and recreation sector.
The annual awards celebrate excellence in Canberra sport, recognising athletes, teams, coaches, officials, volunteers and organisations whose dedication, performance and leadership help make Canberra one of Australia's leading sporting cities.
The awards also include the Minister's Awards for Innovation, Inclusion and Event Excellence, recognising sporting clubs and organisations that have delivered exceptional initiatives and outcomes for the ACT community.
Some of last year's award winners included Jay Vine (cycling), Laura Peel (aerial skiing), James Turner (athletics) and the Canberra Raiders men's team (rugby league).
Nominations for the 2026 CBR Sport Awards are open from 8 September until 7 October 2026, with winners to be announced at the awards ceremony on 26 November 2026.
