Northern Rivers Flood Response Continues

Flooding continues to impact Northern NSW communities, with nine evacuation orders still current.

Our Volunteers have responded to 4807 requests for assistance, with 139 flood rescues so far.

A low in the Tasman Sea moving westward towards the far southern coast on Sunday before drifting into Vic then back to the east southeast on Monday.

Heavy surf expected to ease along NSW coast.

Unsettled weather is still impacting areas of coastal NSW with damaging winds and possible thunderstorms with potential further rainfall throughout the NSW South Coast.

Multiple river systems have current flood warnings in place:

Major:

Snowy River

Minor to Major:

Culgoa, Birrie, Bokhara, Narran

Moderate:

Orara, Macintyre

Minor to Moderate:

Richmond

Minor:

Wilsons, Wyong, Tuggerah Lake, Paroo, St Georges Basin

Final:

Severn, Colo, Wollombi Brook, Clarence, Wilsons

As the rainfall eases and rivers begin receding, please be cautious when travelling as roads could still be closed or damaged following floods.

Do not walk, drive, ride or play in floodwater. This is the leading cause of death during floods.
