On behalf of the Government of the United States of America and the American people, I congratulate Norway and all its citizens on as you celebrate the 206th anniversary of the Norwegian Constitution.
Norway and the United States are steadfast allies and partners, and we greatly value Norway's leadership in NATO and on the Arctic Council. Norway's longstanding commitment to providing humanitarian and development assistance is a model for the international community. Our partnership, based on mutual democratic values and a commitment to peace and prosperity, is all the more significant as we work together to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. Through close cooperation and dedication, I am confident that we will prevail and continue to promote peace and our shared values together.
