The intersection of Scenic Drive and Bridge Road will be permanently closed from Sunday 27 September to create a safer working area for bridge work.
Access into Scenic Drive from Bridge Road is only permitted for project construction vehicles and access to Thai Riverside Restaurant. Motorists accessing the southern foreshore and the Nowra Aquatic Park can use surrounding local roads.
The footpath on the eastern side of Bridge Road between the Princes Highway and Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre will also be closed from Tuesday 6 October for up to 12 months. Pedestrians will be detoured to the western side at the crossing on the Princes Highway or via a new temporary median island crossing to near Hyam St.
