As at 8pm, Sunday 22 March 2020, an additional 136 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed, since 8pm 21 March, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in NSW to 669.

A confirmed case has been identified at Vaucluse Cottage childcare centre. All children and staff who attended the centre on 16 March are close contacts and are being contacted to self-isolate until midnight 30 March. The centre plans to reopen once adequate staffing levels are confirmed.
A confirmed case, a resident at Quakers Hill Nursing Home, is now at Westmead Hospital. Contact tracing is underway.
Additional cases have been confirmed among passengers on the Ovation of the Seas (5 cases), and Ruby Princess (now 27 cases in NSW and 21 cases interstate).
Overnight NSW Health issued a media statement in relation to the protocols it followed on cruise ship arrivals.

NSW Health is alerting passengers who were close contacts on flights to monitor for symptoms, and contact their GP, but call ahead first, or call healthdirect on 1800 022 222, or visit a NSW Health COVID-19 / Flu assessment clinic should they become unwell.

NSW Health COVID-19 / Flu assessment clinics are up and running across the state however, we stress these clinics are for those most at risk with respiratory symptoms or fever, those returning from overseas or in contact with a COVID-19 case, or people like our health workers. People without symptoms do not need to be tested.
