NSW man charged after indecent assault on Train

A man has been charged after allegedly indecently assaulting women on a train in Sydney’s inner west yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 5.45pm, yesterday, a 24-year-old woman was on board a train between Parramatta and Strathfield when a man sat next to her and made sexually suggestive comments to her.

The man inappropriately touched the woman.

About 6.00pm yesterday, officers attached to the Police and Transport Command arrested the 49-year-old man at Strathfield Railway Station and conveyed him to Burwood Police Station.

Further reports were made to police where another woman had allegedly been indecently assaulted.

He was charged with two counts of assault with act of indecency.

The man remains on conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 28 July 2016
