NSW police appeal after teenager approached by men in Wollongong

Police have commenced inquiries after a woman was approached by two men in Wollongong today, NSW Police say.

The 19-year-old woman was walking along Denison Street, near Loftus Street, when a car stopped near her just before 10.30am today.

The two male occupants repeatedly called out to the woman and asked her to get in the vehicle.

She ignored the men and kept walking; however, the passenger got out of the car and grabbed her on the arm.

The woman screamed and managed to free herself from his grip before the man fled the scene.

Police were alerted and officers from Wollongong Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

As part of their inquiries, investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

The men are both described as being of Indian / Sub-Continental appearance and aged in their late 20s.

The car has only been described as a white sedan.
