NSW Police Charge Fairfield PAC for Domestic, Animal Abuse

A man will face court next week after being charged with domestic violence and animal cruelty offences in Sydney's south-west.

Yesterday (Thursday 21 September 2023), officers from Fairfield Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of a woman, aged in her 30s, was being intimidated by a man, known to her.

Police will allege in court the man also assaulted her dog on numerous occasions.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 45-year-old man about 8.30am today (Friday 22 September 2023).

He was taken to Fairfield Police Station, where he was charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic) and two counts of commit an act of cruelty upon an animal.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear before Fairfield Local Court on Monday 25 September 2023.

The dog was assessed to be safe and well by officers at the police station.
