Police are investigating after a number of firearms were stolen from a property in Singleton yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 7pm on Monday 27 November 2017, the 69-year-old occupant of a rural property on the New England Highway, Singleton, returned from a week’s vacation and noticed two shipping containers on his property had been broken into.
Inside one of the containers was a gun safe that had been opened and a total of 14 firearms and ammunition had been removed.
Police from Hunter Valley Local Area Command were called and an investigation was commenced.
In total, six double barrel shotguns, eight rifles and two boxes of ammunition was stolen from the property.
Police are seeking anyone with information that may be able to assist the investigation to contact detectives at Hunter Valley Local Area Command or Crime Stoppers.
