NSW police probe after stabbing

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed and a second man was injured at Hunters Hill this morning, NSW Police say.

About 2.20am tomorrow, emergency services were called to a home on Bonnefin Road, following reports a man had been stabbed.

Police have been told a 36-year-old man exited a vehicle when he was approached by two unknown males and stabbed.

The driver of the vehicle, a 26–year-old, rendered assistance and the offenders ran away.

The 36-year-old was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

The 26-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics.

Officers from Ryde Local Area Command attended and a crime scene was established.

Detectives would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

They are described only as being of Asian appearance.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or with any information is urged to come forward.
