NSW police seek info to help locate man missing near Cooma

Police are appealing for information to help locate a man who went missing near Cooma at the weekend, NSW Police say.

Nathan McInnes, aged 34, left his home in Canberra and drove to Adaminaby for a fishing weekend on Lake Eucumbene last Friday (22 April 2016).

He spoke with his wife over the weekend and she last heard from him about 1pm yesterday, at which point he advised he was driving home.

When he did not return home that night his wife became concerned and a friend travelled to Adaminaby to search areas he usually attends when visiting the area.

The friend was unable to locate Mr McInnes and his wife contacted police.

Officers from Monaro Local Area Command launched an investigation and have since conducted road and shoreline searches around Lake Eucumbene, with assistance from PolAir; however, Mr McInnes was not found.

Local police have also canvassed local accommodation and medical centres without success.

Police have now released an image of Mr McInnes as investigations continue.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with short brown curly hair, brown eyes and of a medium build.

Mr McInnes is believed to be travelling in a red Toyota Celica sedan; bearing ACT registration YUV 123.

Anyone with information on the missing person’s whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stopers.
