NSW police seek witnesses following death of woman

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the death of a woman at Hunters Hill earlier this month.

About 3:45am (Wednesday 19 December 2018), officers from Ryde Police Area Command and paramedics were called to Burns Bay Road after a 23-year-old woman fell from a bridge onto an on-ramp and later died in hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, in particular, a man riding a pushbike and another man walking two dogs on Gladesville Road around the time of the incident. Police are also appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.

A critical incident team from the Blue Mountains PAC, named Strike Force Covey, are investigating all circumstances surrounding the incident. That investigation is subject to independent review by LECC.

A brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
