NSW police seize 100 sheep and luxury vehicle from a property near Junee

Police have seized almost 100 sheep and a luxury motor vehicle after a search warrant was executed at a property in the state’s Riverina region, NSW Police say.

The Rural Crime Prevention Team consisting of officers from Riverina, Murray River and Murrumbidgee Police Districts, commenced investigations after information was received about the possible location of stolen goods.

About 9.15am yesterday (Wednesday 31 October 2018), police executed a search warrant at a property on Mees Lane, Wantiool, near Junee, where they located almost 100 sheep and a Mercedes Benz that was reported stolen in 2014.

The sheep have been taken to another property and the vehicle was taken for forensic examination.

Inquiries into the matter continue.
